Terms and conditions of use

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our service. By accessing or using .Urban, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

  • App: The software provided by the Company, downloaded by You to any electronic device, named .Urban.

  • Company: SC Communitech S.R.L., registered in Romania ("We", "Us", or "Our").

  • Account: A unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of it.

  • Content: Text, images, or other information posted, uploaded, or otherwise made available by You.

  • In-App Purchase: The purchase of a product, service, or subscription made through the App and subject to these Terms and the App Store’s terms.

  • Service: Refers to the App and its features.

  • You: The individual accessing or using the Service, or the company/legal entity on behalf of which such individual is acting.

2. Eligibility & Acceptance

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. The Company does not permit those under 18 to use the Service.

  • Privacy: Your access is also conditioned on Your acceptance of our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal information.

3. User Accounts

  • Accuracy: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. Failure to do so may lead to immediate account termination.

  • Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and must notify us immediately at hello@doturban.app if you suspect a security breach.

  • Username Policy: You may not use a name that belongs to another person, is protected by trademarks, or is offensive/vulgar.

4. In-App Purchases

  • Billing: All billing and transactions are handled by the App Store (Apple or Google) and are governed by their respective terms.

  • Refunds: Digital In-App Purchases are generally non-refundable once the download has initiated.

  • Issues: If a purchase fails to function, we will investigate and attempt to provide a "patch" or replacement. If we cannot fix the issue within a reasonable time, we will authorize the App Store to issue a refund.

5. Content Rules

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You may not post content that is:

  • Illegal, offensive, defamatory, or intended to harass others.

  • Discriminatory (based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc.).

  • Spam, machine-generated, or unauthorized advertising.

  • Containing viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt software/hardware.

  • Infringing on any party’s intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, copyrights).

Note: We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to determine whether content is appropriate and to remove any content that violates these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our Property: The Service and its original content (excluding user posts), features, and functionality are the exclusive property of SC Communitech S.R.L.

  • Your License to Us: By posting content, you grant Us a license to use, modify, and distribute that content on the Service. You retain ownership of your original content and are responsible for protecting those rights.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

  • Third-Party Services: .Urban may link to or list third-party services. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by these third parties.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. You may also stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

  • Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania.

  • Informal Resolution: If you have a concern, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the Company.

  • EU Users: If you are a European Union consumer, you benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.
